Hex-LockTM Contour Abutments
Save time and simplify the restorative process with Zimmer Dental’s new Hex-Lock Contour Abutments. The abutments feature reduced facial margins that mimic the profile of soft tissue allowing for an esthetic result. Hex-Lock Contour Abutments are available in a variety of cuff heights and emergence profiles and can be used in both one and two-stage surgical protocols. The abutments feature Zimmer Dental’s patented internal hex with friction-fit connection. When fully seated, this connection virtually eliminates micromovement, the leading cause of screw loosening.
A full compliment of contour components aides in the restoration of Hex-Lock Contour Abutments. These components are also used to restore Zimmer® One-Piece Implants.
- Color-coded snap-on impression caps allow for simple abutment-level impressions
- Provisional copings help in creating provisional crowns
- Abutment analogs and waxing copings assist the laboratory in final crown fabrication
- The Contour Restorative Kit includes an impression cap, provisional coping, waxing coping and abutment analog
- Contour Healing Caps are available for long-term tissue healing

Zimmer® Contour Ceramic Abutments
A beautiful fit right off the shelf. Zimmer Contour Ceramic Abutments have prepared margins to minimize preparation time. The collar of the abutment is contoured below the margin, allowing space for soft tissue around the implant. The Contour Ceramic Abutment is manufactured from a strong zirconia material for a natural-looking, esthetic solution.
The titanium interface ring provides a titanium to titanium connection for a precise fit between the implant and the abutment. This allows for a seat that you can rely on. By delivering both excellent results and exceptional convenience, Zimmer Contour Ceramic Abutments are sure to be a beautiful fit for your patients – and your practice.

Hex-Lock Plastic Temporary Abutments
|
Create a natural emergence profile during tissue healing with simple and esthetic provisional restorations on Tapered Screw-Vent implants. Provisional restorations can be cemented to the abutment with temporary cement, or autopolymerizing acrylic can be bonded directly to the abutment. The off-white color of the abutments allows for enhanced esthetic outcomes, especially in anterior regions.
Each is affordable enough for routine use and is sold with an easy-to-prepare retaining screw that can be used to create a screw access channel.

Hex-Lock and 20° Angled Abutments
These friction-fit abutments are offered in three emergence profiles for the Tapered Screw-Vent implant system. The design allows the clinician to prepare the margin exactly where it is needed. The abutments form a virtual "cold weld" when assembled with the implant's internal hex, essentially eliminating micromovement, the leading cause of screw loosening.
In combination with the flat of the fixture mount, Zimmer Dental's angled abutments for internal hex implants are manufactured with the angle aligned to the flat of the hex so that accurate positioning can be accomplished. This process is known as indexing of the implant's hex.

"Cast-To" Gold Abutments
These components feature a gold base and a plastic sheath, which is incorporated into the abutment pattern and cast onto the base. These abutments are offered in engaging and non-engaging options. The engaging component can be used for a single-unit, combined post and crown or for cemented crown and bridge applications. The non-engaging version bypasses the internal hex for use in multiple unit restorations.
